Buddhists have long been accustomed to using the word 'Pruthagjana' (ordinary person) without considering the correct meaning. To justify some of their shortcomings, they say, 'We are ordinary people yet.'
But if they knew the true meaning of 'pruthagjana', they would never like to use that word or trying to be like that. Our Blessed Ones have used the same pair of terms in many instances ('assuthava puthujjano') to refer to as pratyagjana (humans). Assuthava means one who has not produced what is to be derived from hearing the Dharma. This is how our Blessed Lord spoke about the basic characteristics of this ignorant person. That is to say, the ignorant person is,Ariyanan Adhassavi - The person who does not know the real Aryan people
